Grant Information
The Fremont Dodge County Convention and
Visitors Bureau serves as the lead organization to successfully
manage and market Fremont and Dodge County area as a convention,
tourism and special events destination. Through successful
development and execution of centralized and cohesive sales and
marketing strategies, the Fremont Dodge County Convention and
Visitors Bureau generates economic benefits to the citizens of
the Fremont and Dodge County, the convention and tourism
industry, stakeholders and cultural and historical communities.
The Nebraska Visitors
Development Act allows counties to establish a Visitors
Improvement Fund for the purpose of promoting, encouraging, and
attracting visitors to come to the county and use the travel and
tourism facilities within the county.
The proceeds of the County Visitors
Improvement Fund shall be used to improve the visitor
attractions and facilities in the county, except that no
proceeds shall be used to improve a facility in which parimutuel
wagering is conducted.
